SEOUL GATEWAY · AIRPORT IDENTITY FIRST

Read the airport code before choosing the transfer.

ICN, GMP and CJJ are different gateways. A route verified for one is not a shortcut for another.

The right airport is the airport on the workable flight and itinerary—not whichever airport sounds closest to Seoul. Confirm the ticketed airport, operating airline and terminal before opening transport options.

Match the ticket to the airport owner

The airport and transport operator own current terminal and service facts. KTN owns the sequence and the handoff.

Decision ownership

Lock four identities before comparing anything

A vague “Seoul airport” label is not enough to plan an arrival or departure.

  1. Exact IATA airport code printed on the ticket: ICN, GMP or CJJ
  2. Arrival or departure and the exact flight date and time
  3. Operating airline rather than only the marketing airline
  4. Terminal when the airport has more than one passenger terminal
  5. First Seoul origin or final Seoul destination and the full last mile

Hard gate · checked 2026-09-10

Airport and terminal identity are hard gates

Do not apply an Incheon train, bus, terminal or check-in rule to Gimpo or Cheongju. For ICN, T1 and T2 remain separate timing branches.

If the ticket or operating terminal is not confirmed, stop before selecting a transfer and verify it with the airline or airport.

Which gateway does the actual ticket require?

The table does not impose a universal airport ranking. It routes the traveler to the correct owner.

ICN · Incheon International AirportOfficial source ownerICN · Incheon International AirportUse Incheon-specific terminal, processing and transport rules only when the ticket names ICN. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are separate execution branches. The actual ticket names ICN and the international-airport chain fits the itinerary.T1/T2 identity, airport processing, distance and selected-time transport all matter.Operating airline, terminal, current public route and the final Seoul last mile.Unknown until checked: The operating airline, terminal, selected flight and current transport availability still require an exact check.
GMP · Gimpo International AirportOfficial source ownerGMP · Gimpo International AirportGimpo is a different airport with domestic and international terminals and its own city-access network, including Lines 5 and 9 and the Airport Railroad. The actual ticket names GMP and its domestic or international terminal fits the flight.Do not borrow ICN transfer or check-in rules; Gimpo has its own terminals and urban transport network.Flight, terminal, Lines 5/9 or Airport Railroad connection, and destination-side transfer.Unknown until checked: The ticketed flight, terminal and selected-date transport remain airport- and airline-specific.
CJJ · Cheongju International AirportOfficial source ownerCJJ · Cheongju International AirportTreat Cheongju as a separate regional gateway only when the actual ticket names CJJ; it is not an Incheon or Gimpo substitute by default. The actual ticket names CJJ and the regional gateway plus onward trip still works.Cheongju is not in Seoul, and the bound KTN Cheongju–Seoul guide is not yet public.Airport identity and the exact current official onward route; no unpublished KTN link is presented as live.Unknown until checked: The bound KTN Cheongju–Seoul transfer guide is not yet published, so verify the exact current route with the airport and operators.

Seller boundary

Airport identity cannot be supplied by a seller label

A transfer listing may mention Seoul while serving only one airport, terminal, zone or operating period. Match the official airport first.
