A temporary night before rental pickup
If you have checked possible booking changes but still cannot collect your rental car on arrival, would one temporary night make the next day’s pickup workable?
Check legal eligibility separately from the company’s acceptance of a revised pickup; missing collection does not automatically preserve the reservation. Treat this as a temporary stop, not your trip base. Do not add another room if your existing stay is reachable without the car.
