KOREA · KBO TICKETS

An official KBO ticket seller does not automatically mean a foreign visitor can complete the purchase.

Keep the game you selected in the date-first KBO guide. Then verify one path end to end: current home-team seller, account and identity requirements, phone or SMS, payment, inventory and ticket fulfillment.

Check the ticket path

KBO teams do not use one league-wide purchase flow. KTN separates seller identity from foreign usability so a working concert site, a Korean phone number or an onsite ticket window is not mistaken for a confirmed ticket path.

This page does not promise inventory, generalize one club's foreign access to the league, or treat assisted resale as verified simply because it is bookable.

Selected-game context

Start with the game and home team you already chose

The ticket route depends on the home team. If you have not selected a game yet, return to the date-first KBO guide rather than choosing a seller first.

Current official seller map

First verify who currently owns ticket sales for that home team

The current KBO ticket guide splits teams across Ticketlink, NOL / Interpark and team-operated ticketing. That map answers who the official seller is; it does not answer whether a short-term foreign visitor can finish the transaction.

Process diagram

A usable ticket path has to survive every gate

Do not collapse the route into a single easy/hard label. A path can have an official seller and still fail at account, identity, payment, inventory or fulfillment.

  1. 01

    Carry the selected game forward

Keep the date, home team and stadium from the date-first KBO game guide. Do not restart by choosing a ticket platform.

  2. 02

    Verify the current official seller

Use the current KBO/team owner for this home team. A seller that worked for another club is not evidence for this game.

  3. 03

    Check account and identity requirements

Separate foreign account creation from Korean real-name identity checks.

  4. 04

    Check phone and SMS separately

A Korean phone number, an SMS code and Korean identity verification are different requirements.

  5. 05

    Verify payment for this path

Confirm whether the current flow accepts the payment method the traveler can actually use.

  6. 06

    Finish with inventory and fulfillment

Confirm selected-game inventory and how entry is delivered or collected before treating the path as usable.

Confirmed positive example

KT Wiz is the current positive foreign-direct example — not a league-wide rule

KT Wiz officially introduced an English wizzap path with email-authenticated foreign signup and foreign-issued-card ticket payment in 2024. Its current ticket page still lists wizzap as a purchase method, but that does not reconfirm every overseas card or prove selected-game inventory, payment success or collection in 2026. Recheck the full path when you buy.

Path types

Keep path type separate from certainty

The route type tells you how a ticket may be obtained. It does not tell you that inventory is protected or that entry is guaranteed.

Direct online

The traveler completes the current official team/seller path directly.

Signup/identity, payment, selected-game inventory and fulfillment all need evidence.

Reserved onsite allocation

A current team or organizer explicitly protects or allocates same-day inventory for the relevant traveler group.

Use only when the current source owner confirms the allocation and conditions.

General box office

Remaining seats may be sold at the stadium on game day.

This is a fallback, not protected inventory or a ticket guarantee.

Assisted path

A tour, agent or other intermediary handles some part of purchase or fulfillment.

Relationship/authorization, fees, refund terms and fulfillment must be reviewed before KTN links it.

Onsite fallback

Treat the box office as a fallback unless current inventory is protected

Official tourism guidance has described same-day stadium sales when seats remain and warns that popular or weekend games may have no same-day tickets. KTN does not convert that possibility into protected inventory.

Assisted path

An assisted or resale path needs its own verification

KTN only considers a third-party path after checking seller relationship or authorization, fees, cancellation and how the ticket is actually fulfilled. Third-party does not automatically mean illegal; bookable does not automatically mean authorized or reliable.

Phone / identity boundary

Do not buy a Korean SIM until you know what the ticket system actually requires

A Korean number, receiving an SMS code and passing Korean real-name identity verification are separate capabilities. A tourist SIM can solve one layer without solving the others.

Result state

The result should say exactly what is confirmed and where the path still stops

KTN should end with a narrow state such as direct path confirmed, official seller known but foreign usability not validated, onsite fallback only, assisted path under review, or no confirmed path.
