SEOUL ↔ BUSAN · INTERCITY DECISION

Seoul ↔ Busan: choose the trip that works door-to-door.

KTX line-haul time is one input. Your real trip starts at the first hotel door and ends at the final destination in Busan.

KORAIL and SRT are separate booking and payment paths, with different Seoul stations and current foreign-card conditions. Flights and buses remain valid candidates only when their actual date, terminal and last-mile chain work.

Check the current booking gates

KTN owns the mode-selection decision. Each operator owns its timetable, inventory, payment and ticket conditions.

Decision ownership

Start with the trip you are actually taking

Compare the whole chain before opening a booking site. A short line-haul time can lose its advantage at either end.

  1. Exact travel date and any Seollal or Chuseok overlap
  2. Seoul start neighborhood and access to Seoul Station or Suseo
  3. Busan destination and the final transfer from station, airport or terminal
  4. Luggage, party size and step-free or handling needs
  5. Fixed departure, check-in, event or ship commitments
  6. Selected-date inventory, payment capability and cancellation tolerance

Resolve holiday, inventory and payment capability before ranking modes

For 2026 Chuseok-period trains, the special reservation regime overrides normal booking assumptions. Outside that exception, every mode still requires a selected-date check.

An operator page existing does not prove that a seat, acceptable payment method or suitable departure exists for this traveler.

Special Reservation RegimeFor trains running September 23–27, 2026, use the holiday-specific process before applying normal sale-window or inventory assumptions.

Seller boundary

An aggregator can sell an option without owning its operating rules

A seller listing may help execute a selected route, but it does not become KORAIL or SRT evidence and does not prove universal foreign-card acceptance.

No seller or affiliate path was selected. Commercial readiness remains unknown and is not used as the default.
